Artificial Intelligence.  Coursework covered a broad range of computer

B.S. Degree in Mathematics with Computer Science, June 1995, with a minor in 
Music.  GPA 4.6/5.0, senior year GPA 5.0/5.0.

Experience

SNS Enterprises - May 2003 to Present

Mr. Pecora is a key developer of the Forexster trading system, an innovative
venue for online foreign exchange trading.  He has worked on all aspects of the
system software, ranging from system design and documentation to implementation

Independent Consulting - June 2001 to April 2003

Mr. Pecora was self-employed as an independent computer consultant, focused 
primarily in the area of Java application development using the Sun J2SE.  Java 
technologies he employed on his projects included JDBC, JSSE, JMS, JNDI, Swing, 
EJB, and JavaBeans.  Examples of his project work included a client/server 
administration application, a web-based financial tracking system, and a 
statistics reporting package.

IBM Almaden Research Center - June 2000 to December 2000

As an intern in the Knowledge Representation group, Mr. Pecora was responsible 
for helping develop a Java-based document classification system.  The system 
incorporates both automated classification and hierarchy construction 
algorithms, and also enables the user to modify the generated document
classifications.  Mr. Pecora refined and implemented a number of the 
algorithms used by the system.

American Management Systems (AMS) - September 1995 to August 1999

AMS is a consulting firm which specializes in construction of large software 
systems for federal and state government, telecommunications companies, banks, 
and other specific target industries.  During his time with AMS, Mr. Pecora 
held a variety of roles, starting as an entry-level programmer/analyst and 
ending as a team lead.

Honors

- Winner of $27,900 in TopCoder programming contests.
- Bronze Medalist, 2001 ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest.
- Recipient of a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate fellowship.
In 1999, fewer than ten computer science students nationwide received this 
award.
- GRE scores:  800 Quantitative, 800 Analytical, 750 Verbal.
- President of the MIT Chess Club; 1995 MIT Chess Champion.
- Concertmaster of the MIT Chamber Orchestra.
- Selected out of 400 applicants to represent California at the Department of 
Energy's summer program in supercomputing at Lawrence Livermore National Labs.
- USA Mathematics Olympiad qualifier.
